Corso Terms of Service
§1. Who provides the service
1. Corso is provided by Oskar Porębski GT, os. Kościuszki 3 lok. 4, 32-650 Kęty, Poland, NIP 9452230045, REGON 384232098 ("Provider", "we"). Contact: hello@corsotennis.com.
2. These are terms for services provided electronically under the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means. They are available free of charge on corsotennis.com and in the app, in a form you can save and print.
§2. Definitions
- App — the Corso mobile app for iOS and Android.
- User — anyone using the App or corsotennis.com.
- Consumer — a User who is a consumer within Art. 221 of the Polish Civil Code.
- Account — a User account in the App: anonymous (created automatically) or with an email address or Google sign-in.
- Subscription — paid, renewing access to features marked in the App as paid.
- AI coach — the "Ask Matteo / Alice" feature, which answers questions and builds plans using a language model.
- Club points, Badges, Form, Rank — parts of the App's progress system (§8).
§3. What we offer
1. In the App: tennis training plans, sessions led by a coach's voice, lesson cards and drill descriptions, a timer, a training log, the progress system, the AI coach, a rank exam (once available) and — if you create an Account with an email — server backup of your progress.
2. On corsotennis.com: information about Corso and early-access sign-up (a mailing list).
3. Some features are free, some require a Subscription. The App always shows what is paid before you buy anything. The path to the court — introduction, sessions, the coach's voice, lesson cards, points and rank — is not behind a paywall.
§4. Technical requirements
You need a device with iOS 17 or later or Android 8.0 or later, internet access (some content works offline once downloaded) and — for an email Account — an active email address. Counting sessions on a court requires location permission. corsotennis.com uses no analytics or advertising cookies; what the App stores on your device is described in the Privacy policy.
§5. The agreement: start and end
1. The agreement for the free part of the App is concluded when you start using the App after reading these Terms, for an indefinite period.
2. You can end it at any time at no cost: delete your Account (Profile → Account → Delete account) or write to us. Deleting the App from your phone does not cancel a Subscription — you cancel it in the store (§6).
3. We may end the agreement with 14 days' notice for important reasons (e.g. the App is discontinued), or without notice for a gross breach of §9 after an unsuccessful request to stop. If you have an active prepaid Subscription and the termination is not due to your breach, we refund the unused part.
4. Signing up for early access is consent to receive emails about Corso; unsubscribe with one click in any email.
§6. Subscriptions and payments
1. You buy Subscriptions in the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by the store under its rules; current prices, trial length and billing period are shown in the store and in the App before purchase. Prices include taxes.
2. A Subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the period. If a trial is free, cancelling before it ends means you are not charged.
3. Right of withdrawal (Consumers). You may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. However, if before that period ends you expressly request that the supply of digital content begins and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal, the right expires once supply begins (Art. 38(1)(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). Refunds for store purchases are made by Apple or Google — we'll help if you write to us.
4. Backing our Kickstarter campaign is governed by Kickstarter's rules. A reward of access to Corso is delivered as a code or invitation to the address given in the campaign; how to use it is described in the campaign.
§7. Young players
1. People under 16 use Corso only through an Account opened and run by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
2. People aged 16–17 may use free features on their own; purchases require a parent's or guardian's consent under the store's rules.
3. The programme for young players (free access under 18) runs through a parent: the parent writes to hello@corsotennis.com and opens the Account. We don't ask for proof of income.
§8. Club points, Badges, Form and Rank
1. Club points are earned for sessions on a real court confirmed by location; sessions at home or against a wall earn Badges. The App shows how everything is counted, and we may change the rules to keep the game fair.
2. Points, Badges, Form and Rank have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred to another Account or exchanged for money.
3. If points were earned in breach of the rules (e.g. faked location), we may correct them. We tell you about corrections in the App.
4. Rank is confirmed by a coach reviewing the exam recording. The exam, its rules and any fee will be described in the App before it becomes available.
§9. Acceptable use
When using Corso you must not: provide unlawful content (including in AI-coach questions and comments), circumvent limits or security, scrape the App's content automatically, impersonate others, or use the App in a way that disrupts it for others.
§10. Health and safety on court
1. Tennis is physical exercise. Warm up, match the intensity to your fitness and stop if something hurts. If you have health issues, ask a doctor whether you can train.
2. Corso content and AI-coach answers are training guidance, not medical or physiotherapy advice. The AI coach uses a language model and can be wrong — if an answer seems unsafe or makes no sense, don't follow it.
3. Train where play is allowed and keep an eye on your surroundings and other people.
§11. Rights in the content
The App, its content (plans, lesson cards, illustrations, voice recordings, texts) and the Corso mark belong to or are licensed to the Provider. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own purposes within the App for the duration of the agreement. You may not copy, distribute or sell them beyond permitted use. Some illustrations are made with the help of AI tools.
§12. Conformity and liability
1. Towards Consumers we are liable for the conformity of digital content and services with the contract under Chapter 5b of the Polish Consumer Rights Act, including providing updates needed to keep them conforming.
2. Corso is developed continuously: we add, change and remove features. A change that materially and negatively affects your access to a paid feature gives you the right to end the agreement and receive a proportional refund.
3. Test versions (TestFlight, Google Play closed testing, early access) are provided free of charge and may contain bugs.
4. We do not limit liability towards Consumers where the law forbids it, in particular for personal injury or intentional harm.
§13. Complaints
Send complaints to hello@corsotennis.com: describe the problem, give your Account email (if any) and what you expect. We reply within 14 days. Complaints about store payments can also go directly to Apple or Google.
§14. Disputes
1. Consumers may use out-of-court dispute resolution, e.g. the municipal or district consumer ombudsman or the regional Trade Inspection (information: uokik.gov.pl), or the consumer body in their own country.
2. A sole trader concluding an agreement directly related to their business but not of a professional nature for them enjoys consumer protection to the extent set out in Art. 3855 of the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act.
§15. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms for important reasons: changes in law, in App features, in payment methods, or for security. We will tell you in the App or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you disagree, you may end the agreement before that date.
§16. Final provisions
1. Polish law applies. This choice does not deprive Consumers of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where they habitually reside.
2. We process personal data under the Privacy policy.
3. The Polish version of these Terms is binding; the English version is a translation.
